Description

Ivydene is an 18th-century cottage with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, painted, and has a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window arrangement. It follows a two-unit plan. A central plank door, protected by a wood lintel, is flanked by 20th-century casement windows also with wood lintels. Older two-light casements are present in the first floor, again with wood lintels. A single-storey, gabled extension is located at the left end of the building. This building has group value, contributing to the character of its surroundings.
