Description

The Hive is a small cottage located on Rock Hill in Georgeham. It is constructed of whitewashed rendered rubble and cob, topped with a thatch roof that is half-hipped at the left end. There is an outshut at the rear with a slated roof, and the right gable end also features a scantling slate roof. A stack is positioned at the right gable end. The cottage has a single cell plan and stands two storeys high. The front facade has a two-window range of two-light casements, with two panes in each light, above another two-light casement with three panes per light, positioned to the right of an angled porch that has a 20th-century roof. On the left end, there are single 19th-century two-light casements, each with six panes per light, on both floors.
