Description
The Old Cottage is a cottage, likely from the 18th century, that has been altered and extended in the 20th century. It is built of rubble and has a rendered upper storey. The roof is thatched with gable ends, featuring a small axial stack and a lateral stack at the rear with a tapered cap. The cottage consists of two cells and is single room deep, standing two storeys tall with a two-window range. The windows include two-light timber casements above a nine-paned window, with two small openings to the right. There is a 20th-century single extension with a hipped thatch roof at right angles to the main range, connected to the right gable end by a rounded 20th-century porch with a slate canopy. Additionally, there is a pantiled single-storey extension at the left gable end. The cottage is included for its group value. The interior has not been inspected.
