Description
Fir Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the early 18th century and was extended at the rear in the 20th century. It is constructed from rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with a half-hipped thatch roof featuring a plain ridge. There is a brick stack at the left end and a large stone rubble stack with a brick shaft at the right end. The cottage has a small two-room plan, probably originally consisting of a kitchen on the right and a parlour on the left, with a two-storey 20th-century extension at the rear. The building has two storeys and features a two-window range with 20th-century fenestration, including 2-light casements with three panes per light on the ground floor. A 20th-century porch with a gabled roof is also present. The interior has not been inspected.
