Description
No. 94 Pilton Street is a house with a pair of shops on the ground floor, which were being used as one fish and chip shop at the time of the survey. The building dates from around 1850, with the shop fronts added around 1900. It features a plastered front and a natural slate roof, with the right gable end being slate-hung and no stacks visible from the front.
The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical two-window front with a timber eaves board. The ground floor includes two shop fronts, each featuring an outer square projecting bay window with two panes above one in the central light and one above two to the returns. A deep, flat hood extends over the windows, serving as a flat porch hood for the glazed shop doors in the centre, which each have a low panel and two-pane overlights.
Inside, there is a single shop on the ground floor at the front, but the remainder of the building was not inspected during the survey.
