Description
No. 7 Queen Street is a house with a shop on the ground floor, built around 1780, with 19th-century and later alterations. The building is constructed of rendered stone rubble and has an asbestos slate roof with gable ends and a brick stack on the left side. It likely originally featured a central entrance leading to a double-depth plan. The ground floor was modified around the mid-19th century to include a shop front, with an entrance on the right side that provides access to the under floors. The building has three storeys and two windows. The ground floor features a wide bay that projects forward for the shop front, which includes two large six-pane shop windows and a central half-glazed door, topped by a plain fascia board. To the right, there is a six-panelled door with an overlight. The first and second floors are symmetrical, with the first floor having two twelve-pane sash windows and the second floor featuring three nine-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
