Description
92 and 93 Pilton Street are a pair of houses built around 1800. They have a plastered exterior, likely over brick, with a rusticated ground floor. The houses feature a slate roof behind a parapet and end stacks with brick shafts and some old chimney pots. They are designed as mirror-image houses with front doors located in the center of the block.
The buildings are three stories tall and have a symmetrical three-bay front. There is a moulded cornice below the parapet, although it is missing on No. 93. The front doors are recessed, with No. 93 having a six-panel door and No. 92 featuring a 20th-century replacement door, both topped with deep overlights.
On the ground floor, there are late 19th-century or early 20th-century canted bay windows with top-hung casements and slate roofs. No. 92 retains patterned glass in the upper lights of its windows. The first-floor windows are 24-pane sashes, while the second-floor windows are 16-pane sashes, with blind windows in the center bay. The interior has not been inspected.
