Description

These are a mirrored pair of houses, built in the early 19th century in Barnstaple. They have solid, rendered walls and a slate roof. A chimney sits on the central ridge, with another to the left. The houses are two storeys high, each with a two-window front and a doorway at each end. Number 90 has a four-panelled door with a combined letterbox and knocker, while number 91 has a glazed door. Canted bay windows adjoin the party wall; the bay at number 90 features eight-paned sashes in the centre and two-paned sashes to the sides, topped by a cornice. The bay at number 91 has been altered and converted into a shop window. In the second storey, the windows adjoining the party wall have six-paned sashes, while the outer windows are blind. The interior has not been inspected.
