Description

Ladybird Cottage is a house, now divided into two attached cottages, located at an angle to the road in Marden. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed of brick, with the ground floor rendered and a thatched roof. The building has two storeys. No 59 is one bay wide with an additional narrow bay on the left that contains a 20th-century half-glazed door. It features 20th-century paned timber windows. No 61 is similar but has a roof that sweeps down over a front lean-to on the right side. Both cottages have gable stacks, and the roof extends over a narrow service passage that runs the full length along the rear. The building is included in the register primarily for its group value.
