MARDEN THE STREET SU 05 NE (west side) 3/109 Nos 59 (Ladybird Cottage) and 61 GV II House, now two attached cottages at angle to road. C18. Brick, rendered on ground floor, and thatched roof. Two storeys. No 59 of 1 bay wide and one added narrow bay on left containing entrance, a C20 half-glazed door. C20 paned timber windows. No 61 is similar but roof swept down over front lean-to on right. Gable stacks. Roof continues over narrow service passage full length along rear. Included primarily for group value.
