Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. It is timber framed and has a front faced with colourwashed brick, topped by a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a rear wing on the right and a flat-roofed extension from the 20th century also to the right. The original entrance was central to the hall, but it has been moved to the rear wing. The farmhouse features three-light timber windows with leaded glazing and half brick relieving arches above the ground floor openings. There are two-light windows on the first floor. The rear wing has three bays and includes a large lateral stack with four flues, as well as a diamond pattern of vitrified brick. There is also a lateral two-flue stack further back. The roof has gable stacks to the left of the front block, with the roof hipped at the return and to the wing. The interior has not been seen but may be of interest.
