Description
The Old Malthouse is a detached house dating from the 18th century. It has a rendered exterior and a tiled roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The building is two storeys high and features three windows across the front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by a semi-circular fanlight, with horizontal sash windows on either side. On the first floor, there are three additional horizontal sash windows. To the left side, there is a two-storey 20th-century addition, while to the right side, there is an early 19th-century bay that includes a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor and a two-light casement window on the first floor. The rear and interior of the building were not accessible during the survey conducted in March 1987.
