Description
No. 98 Chitterne Road is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a Welsh slate roof with gable end brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has three windows across the front. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door that is topped by a flat wooden hood, with a 16-pane sash window on either side. On the first floor, there are three 16-pane sash windows.
To the right side of the house, there is a mid-19th century lean-to extension made of English bond brick, which includes a planked door and a steel casement window. On the left side, there is a cob extension with a single Roman tiled roof. At the rear, there is a two-story wing that was rendered in the late 19th century and features 4-pane sash windows.
