Description

Clump House is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of English bond brick with a Bridgwater tiled hipped roof and brick stacks. The house is laid out in an L-shape, with the main entrance set at right angles to the road. It is two storeys high and has three windows on the front elevation. A four-panelled door is set within a central Tuscan porch, flanked by sash windows. The first floor has three sash windows, all with 16 panes. Single sash windows are present to the ground and first floors of both the right and left returns. The rear wing includes a four-panelled door on the ground floor facing the road, and three sashes and a two-light casement window on the first floor. A rubble stone lean-to extension and a conservatory with a planked door, casements, and sashes are located at the rear of the wing. Inside, the house features a staircase with stick balusters, four-panelled doors, window shutters, and reeded fireplace surrounds.
