Description
The Well House is a detached house located on the south side of Chitterne Shrewton Road, likely built in the late 18th century. The house is rendered and features a tiled roof with a brick stack on the left side. It has an L-shaped plan and is two stories tall with three windows across the front. There is a planked door with a gabled canopy positioned to the right of center, flanked by two 9-pane sash windows on the left and one on the right. The first floor contains three 9-pane sash windows that are irregularly spaced. At the rear, there is a gabled two-story wing. To the right of the front, there is a rectangular recess that contains a well with winding gear. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in March 1987.
