Description
Humphrey's Orchard is a detached house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with brick dormers and features a tiled roof and brick stacks. The building is a single storey with an attic and has four windows. There is a 20th-century door to the right of the center, with a 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement window to the left and right, and 2-light and 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casement windows to the left. The four attic gables contain 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements, all of which are leaded. The right side of the building has 20th-century leaded casements, while the rear features 2-light leaded casements and additional 20th-century casements. The interior was not accessible during the survey in July 1985. The house likely consists of two separate builds, with the western part dating from the 17th century and the right part from the 18th century.
