Description
This building is a pair of semi-detached cottages that have been converted into one house. They date from the late 18th century and 19th century. The structure is made of brick and coursed rubble stone, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof and features gable end brick stacks. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys with a three-window front typical of the 18th century. There are two planked doors with gabled canopies and three 3-light casements with flat arches on the ground floor. The first floor contains three 2-light casements. Attached to the left is a late 19th-century one-bay addition built of cavity wall brick, which includes 3-light and 2-light casements. The left side has a planked door and 2-light casements. At the rear, there is an 18th-century rubble stone wing with casements. The interior was not accessible during the survey in July 1985.
