Description
This is a semi-detached cottage, originally two separate dwellings, dating back to the 17th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof and brick stacks, arranged in an L-shape. The front features a projecting wing with two 2-light casement windows on the ground floor; the right-hand window is within a blocked doorway. To the right, there is a single 3-light casement window. The first floor of the wing also has two 2-light casement windows, and the range to the right has a 2-light and a 3-light casement. At the rear of the property are a 2-light and a 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement windows, alongside a 20th-century door. Two attic gables each contain a 2-light mullioned casement window. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams with run-out stops, and a large open fireplace with a timber lintel set within stone and brick jambs.
