Description
Hedge Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof and features brick stacks at the gable ends. The cottage has a gable end facing the road and is single storey with an attic, having two windows fitted with casements. A central 20th-century door is located in a porch, with a three-light casement window on either side. There are two attic gables, each with two-light casements. The left side of the cottage has two one-light casements and a blocked doorway. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension covered with a Welsh slate roof. The interior was not accessible during the survey in July 1985. A straight joint to the left of the front suggests that the left bay may be an addition, possibly from the early 19th century.
