No 39 is a semi-detached cottage, which was formerly two dwellings, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with an asbestos slate roof, previously thatched, and features brick stacks. The building has a gable end facing the road and a baffle-entry design, forming an L-plan. It is a single storey with an attic and has two windows; the windows are casements. There is a planked door in a wooden chamfered case to the right, with a 3-light cast-iron casement next to it. To the left, there are a 3-light and a 2-light casement. The attic gable has a 2-light cast-iron casement on the left, and the first floor to the right features a 2-light cast-iron casement. The right return has a 3-light cast-iron casement and a planked door. The left wing has 3-light casements, while the rear of this wing includes 2-light and 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. Inside, there is a deeply chamfered beam and a planked door, along with a blocked open-fireplace in the baffle-entry.
