Description
The gazebo at Pool Farmhouse is an early 18th-century structure built of ashlar stone on a rubble stone base, topped with a stone-tiled pyramid roof and a stone finial. It has a square plan with raised corner piers and a coved eaves cornice that breaks forward over the piers. There are 12-pane sash windows with thick glazing bars in raised stone surrounds on three sides. The south side features a door set in an architrave with a pediment supported by brackets. An ashlar stack is located at the northwest angle.
Inside, the gazebo includes a corner fireplace, window seats with fielded panels, and a plastered ceiling that has a circular central moulded panel and a moulded cornice adorned with small portrait medallions. There is also a basement beneath the structure.
