Description

The Cottage is a house built in the mid-18th century, constructed from squared rubble stone and topped with a stone tiled roof. It features a coped east gable with an end wall stack. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range. The upper windows are two-light bead-moulded mullion windows, which have small panes and sash opening lights. There is a string course and a central bead-moulded stone doorcase with a hood supported by brackets, flanked by sash windows in raised bead-moulded surrounds. The lower west end has an ashlar extension with a stone tiled roof and a west end stack, containing one 20th-century metal window on each floor. Additionally, there is a 20th-century garage attached to the west wall.
