Description
The gazebo at Manor House is an early 18th-century structure built from coursed stone rubble with angle quoins. It is a large, one-storey building with a tall basement. The gazebo features one sash window and a coved stone eaves cornice. Its roof is square and has an ogee shape, made of stone slabs that resemble fish scales, with stone ridge pieces and a ball finial on a pedestal. A flight of steps leads up to the main entrance, which is flanked by walls; one side includes an alcove seat with a curved back and a coved cornice above. The wall in front has been removed, and the ends are ramped up to align with the main wall. The interior of the gazebo is now plain. The roof design of this gazebo is very unusual and may even be unique.
