Description
The Dog and Partridge Inn is a public house located at 221 Oxford Road in Calne, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is rendered and features limestone ashlar dressings, with rendered lateral stacks and a hipped roof covered in interlocking tiles. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a double-fronted facade that includes an ashlar plinth, quoins, and a band at the first floor cill. A large late 19th-century porch is present, which has three round-headed side windows and a pierced parapet with round-arched openings. The ground floor windows have been altered and feature twelve panes, while the first floor has 8/8-pane sash windows. The interior has been altered as well.
