Nos. 9A and 9B on Wood Street is a house with a shop, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with an ashlar front and features a Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and a two-window range. The mid-20th century shop front is complemented by a recessed original six-panel door with an overlight to the right. The first floor is highlighted by a plat band and end pilasters that are broken forward to a moulded cornice beneath the parapet, and it has 8/8-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
