Description

This is an early 19th-century house, later used as a shop. It is located on Wood Street, Calne. The house is constructed of limestone ashlar, with brick gable stacks and a slate roof. It has a single-depth plan and comprises two storeys with a three-window front. The facade is symmetrical, featuring a cornice and parapet. The right-hand side has a 19th-century shop front with a six-panel door and overlight, pilasters, and cornice. A mid-20th century shop front has been inserted on the left-hand side, with plate-glass windows and full-width blinds. The first floor has 8/8-pane sash windows, with a 6/6-pane sash window centrally placed. The interior remains uninspected.
