Description
No. 6 North Street is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring a brick stack on the left gable and a stone slate mansard roof. The building has a double-depth plan, originally designed with a larger heated main room to the left of the two-room front range. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a two-window range. The openings have timber lintels and are positioned to the right, with a central doorway that has a late 20th-century door, along with mid-19th century paired 4/4-pane sash windows. Inside, the interior has been altered but includes a two-bay roof with tenoned purlins.
