Description
The Red Lion Inn is a public house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and features a tiled roof with three brick gable end stacks. The building is two stories high and has flush stone quoins.
On the east elevation, the left half of the building is double fronted, with a central porch that was added in 1981. This porch is flanked by glazing bar sash windows with keystoned lintels. Above, there are two similar glazing bar sash windows. The right half of the building has a different construction style and displays irregular fenestration, including 20th-century casement windows.
