Description

James Lane Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. It features a tiled roof with brick gable end stacks and is two storeys high. The south elevation has an off-centre doorway with a rough stone lintel and quoins. Above the doorway, there is a two-light recessed chamfered mullion window with lead-paned windows. There are three other similar windows on this elevation, one of which has a 19th-century wooden casement. The north elevation includes one two-light recessed chamfered mullion window and one single-light window with a chamfered surround.
