Description

James Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage, located on the west side of Main Street in the parish of Kniveton. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. The roof is tiled, and features a brick gable end stack. The cottage is two storeys high, with flush stone quoins. A single 3-light chamfered stone mullion window is present on both the ground and first floors. A porch was added in the 1970s.
