CASTLE STREET 1. 5411 (West Side) Nos 3 and 4 ST 8557 7/159 II GV

  1. Mid C18. 2 storey painted brick with double roman tile roof. 2+1+1 windows with rustic chamfered voussoirs. 2 glazing bar sashes 1st floor to left, rest plate glass sashes. 2 mid C19 shop fronts: panelled pilasters, moulded cornice, fascia brackets and recessed central door to right. Good left hand shop front with reeded pilasters, and doorway to left. Throughway passage with rustic quoins and voussoirs to left again. Gable end of No 3 has some exposed timber in gable.

Nos 1 to 6 (consec) including 5A form a group.
