Description

Nos 4 and 6 on Courthouse Street are mid-19th century buildings with a painted brick front and a tiled roof featuring gabled ends. They are two storeys high and have three windows on the first floor, with the left-hand window being narrower. The windows are late 19th century sashes without glazing bars, set beneath flat brick arches and cills. On the ground floor, there are two large late 19th century shop windows and a doorway, all topped with a continuous fascia and cornice. The right-hand return end has a modern projecting shop front. These buildings are included for their group value with Nos 4, 6, 8, 8A, and 8B.
