FORE STREET 1. 5411 (South West Side) No 16 ST 8558 5/245 II GV

  1. Late C17 or early C18 severely buckled front of painted brick with flanking stone quoins. 3 storeys, 3 ranges of glazing bar sash windows with wide raised surrounds having beaded inner edges and moulded outer edges. Stone moulded eaves cornice. Double roman tiles to roof. Thin moulded string course over 1st floor. Late C19 shop front with recessed central entrance and overall fascia and modillions to fascia cornice. Lead rainwater pipe with conical head to right. Rear: timber lintels and attic mansard. 2 storey brick extension. Interior: remains of panelling on 2nd floor. Cellar and well below.
