Description
No. 13 Fore Street is a mid-19th century building that features a decorative front and stands 2 and a half storeys tall, constructed from ashlar stone. The facade is accented by side pilasters and includes round-headed casement windows. The windows are adorned with crude engaged Corinthian colonettes, with a group of three on the first floor to the left, one to the right, and a group of two in the attic. The attic features a stepped central design flanked by carved scrolls above the parapet. The building also has a later 19th-century shop front with two fluted fascia brackets and a moulded cornice decorated with rosettes in a cavetto style. Nos. 13 to 18 Fore Street form a group, with No. 18 noted for its local interest.
