Description

The railings to No 64 on Fore Street are a notable example of 18th-century wrought ironwork. They feature column standards topped with flaming urns and a central gate that is elaborately panelled, adorned with scroll and bar infilling. The design includes scroll and urn cresting, an overthrow with bead and reed ornament, and a central lamp holder. The gates are made of bars. These railings, along with Nos 61 to 64, form a cohesive group, and No 64 and its railings also group with Nos 65 to 74.
