Description

This is a late 17th and early 18th century, two-story and attic brick house with rustic stone quoins and a sagging eaves cornice. The steeply pitched roof is covered with double Roman tiles, and features a crest ramped to the left, with a thick brick chimney behind. There is a dormer window with glazing bars. The first floor has three windows; the central one is blind, and the outer windows have thick glazing bar sashes with wide surrounds, their inner edges beaded and outer edges moulded. A plain shop front occupies the ground floor. A two-story brick extension is located at the rear, containing two original windows and a later extension. Nos. 13 to 18 Fore Street form a group, and No. 18 is of local interest.
