Description
St John's Place consists of a pair of houses built in the late 1820s. They are finished in stucco with a hipped slate roof and have stacks with rendered shafts. The houses are designed as a mirror-plan pair, with front doors located at the center. No. 1 is positioned to the right, downhill.
The exterior features four storeys and a symmetrical three-bay front. Each house has six-panel front doors, with the upper panels glazed and overlights that include glazing bars. The ground, first, and second floors have 12-pane sash windows on the left and right, while the third floor features sashes with a configuration of three over six panes. There are blind recesses in the center of each storey. A blue glazed tile street sign with white lettering is affixed to No. 1. The interior has not been inspected but may contain features of interest.
