Description

St John's Place is a terraced house dating to the 1830s. It is stuccoed and set forward from numbers 1 and 2. The house has a gabled slate roof with deep eaves and boarded soffits, and end stacks with rendered shafts. Built on a steep hillside, the front door is located in the corner. The house is three storeys high, with a two-bay front; the right-hand bay is a rounded corner and slightly recessed. A round-headed doorway has a 20th-century door and fanlight with spoke glazing bars. There are 12-pane sash windows to the ground and first floors, bowed on the corner. The second-floor windows are 3 over 6-pane sashes, also bowed on the corner. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of architectural interest.
