Description
St John's Place consists of a pair of terraced houses built around the 1830s. The houses are finished in stucco and have a blocked-out appearance, topped with a gabled slate roof. The exterior features three storeys and a two-by-two bay front with round-headed doorways located to the right. Number 4, which is downhill to the right, has incised Greek key decoration on the reveals. Both houses have six-panel front doors, with the bottom panels flush and fanlights that include spoke glazing bars. The ground and first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes, while the second-floor windows are typically three over six panes, except for Number 5 on the right, which has a four-pane replacement. The interior has not been inspected but may still have interesting features.
