Description

Numbers 57, 58, and 59 Egremont Place are a group of three terraced houses dating from around 1825. They are constructed of stucco, with the roof hidden by a blocking course. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement level, and each has two windows. Each house features a round-arched entrance, which has been significantly altered, and a full-height segmental bay to the left of each entrance. These bays contain tripartite windows with flat arches; the original sashes have been replaced. On the first and second floors of numbers 57 and 58, a camber-arched window has been blocked; windows in the same position on number 59 are unblocked and flat arched. Number 59 has a simple band of detail at the top of the top storey, while the others have coping. All three houses have a first-floor cast-iron balcony to the bay, with a segmental plan. Chimney stacks are shared between the party walls. The interior has not been inspected. Only the side railing to the door of number 59 remains.
