Description
The retaining walls, piers, and railings at Villa Belvedere were built around the 1830s, with the railings and piers likely added in the 1850s. The wall is constructed from local grey limestone rubble, while the piers are stuccoed and topped with fine cast-iron railings. The retaining wall supports the terrace on which Villa Belvedere stands and features six square-section piers with platbands. This structure is included for its group value.
