No. 2 Castle Terrace

No. 2 Castle Terrace is a terraced house dating from the 19th century. It features painted stucco with a slate roof, deep eaves, and red brick stacks at the ends that have been renewed. The eaves are flat and adorned with small paired modillions, although a 20th-century flat fascia board has replaced the original moulded cornice. The house has three storeys and a two-window range, with an arched doorway located in the left bay. The windows include square 6-pane sashes in the attic and 12-pane sashes elsewhere, all with stone sills. There is a raised band above the ground floor and a recessed 6-panel door that has an unusual marginal tracery in the fanlight. The interior has not been inspected.
