Description
No. 5 Castle Terrace is a terraced house dating from the 19th century, featuring painted stucco and a slate roof. It has deep eaves with flat profiles and tiny paired modillions, although the 20th-century fascia board is a simplified version of the original cornice. The house has three storeys and a two-window range, with an arched doorway located in the left bay. The attic windows are square 6-pane sashes, while the other windows are 12-pane sashes, all with stone sills. There is a raised band above the ground floor and a recessed 6-panel door with two glass panels. An unusual feature is the marginal tracery in the fanlight above the door. Additionally, there is a basement grille located under one of the windows. The interior has not been inspected.
