Description

This is a gas lamp located south of the Parish Church of Christ Church in Paignton, probably dating from the late 19th century. It was made by Willey and Co. in Exeter and is constructed from cast and wrought iron. The lamp features a fluted standard with a fluted ladder and is mounted on four wrought-iron brackets, which have decorated corners. The lamp is topped with a vent and serves to light the route to the church hall from the church. It is included in the listing for its group value.
