Description

Nos. 6 and 8 Higher Polsham Road are a pair of houses built around the 1830s. The buildings are stuccoed and have a slate roof that is gabled at both ends, with end stacks featuring rendered shafts and platbands. They are two storeys high, with No. 8 being double-depth and two rooms wide, while No. 6 is one room wide. The front facade has three bays for No. 8 and two bays for No. 6, with a platband at the first-floor sill level. No. 8 is symmetrical and features a central timber lattice porch with a moulded cornice, a six-panel door with glazed upper panels, two ground-floor 12-pane sash windows, and two first-floor 16-pane sash windows. No. 6 has a similar recessed door to the right, one ground-floor 12-pane sash, and one first-floor 16-pane sash. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
