6, Lower Polsham Road

No. 6 Lower Polsham Road is a house built around 1850. It has a stuccoed exterior and a natural slate roof that is gabled at both ends. The house features end stacks with rendered shafts and platbands. It is designed with a double-depth layout that is two rooms wide and has two storeys. The front is symmetrical with three bays and includes a platband at the first-floor sill level and deep eaves supported by moulded brackets. The central entrance is a half-glazed front door with an overlight above it. There are two ground-floor windows and three first-floor windows, all fitted with later 19th century or 20th century one over two-pane sashes within their original openings. The interior has not been inspected but may have interesting features. This house is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
