Description
Hamble Cottage is a cottage that was formerly two cottages, built in the mid-18th century. It features plastered walls and a tiled roof with bargeboards on the gables. There are two brick stacks, one at the left end and one to the left of center. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road and has two storeys. An added gabled porch with a pantile roof and a stable door is located at the right end, while a part-glazed door is situated closer to the left end. Both the ground and first floors have three casement windows with glazing bars. This building is believed to be part of the original New Town, which was developed when the original village of Moor Crichel was relocated to create Crichel Park.
