Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Jessamine Cottages are a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They have brick walls, with No. 1 being plastered, and feature a thatched roof that is hipped at the left end. There are two brick stacks, one centrally located and the other at the right end, both with oversailing caps and dentil ornament. The cottages are positioned at right angles to the road and are two storeys high.
No. 1 has a ledged door set in a trellised porch with a gabled tiled roof. Both the ground and first floors of No. 1 have two casements with glazing bars. No. 2 features a part glazed panelled door in a timber porch that has a curved roof, cornice, and shaped timber uprights. Similar to No. 1, both floors of No. 2 also have two casements with glazing bars. There is a small single-storey extension at the right end of No. 2, which has a tiled roof and a part glazed door.
