Description
Linden Lea is a detached house that likely dates from the late 17th century and was remodeled in the 19th century. It features roughcast walls, a hipped tiled roof, and brick stacks, with one stack located left of center that appears to be from the 17th century. The house has two storeys and an attic. There is a ledged door in an open timber porch with a hipped roof, and a second similar porch on the right end wall, indicating that the house was once two cottages.
On the ground floor, there are three casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor also has three similar windows, which are accented by smooth plaster quoins. The attic includes one pent roofed dormer with similar casements. An oriel window is present on the first floor of the left end wall. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension under a slate catslide roof. Inside, the house features some chamfered ceiling beams and a large fireplace in the central stack, which has been partly built up.
