Description
This is a mid-19th century house, part of which has been used as a post office. The house is built of brick with a tiled roof featuring moulded bargeboards to the gables. A brick stack is located just left of centre, featuring two diagonally set shafts within ornamental brickwork. The house is one storey with an attic. The front features a ledged door set within a pointed arched opening, which has a quatrefoil above, sheltered by a steep pitched gabled hood supported by timber framing and brackets. Below are two casement windows with glazing bars, set within segmental arches. Three gabled dormers are visible in the attic, each with moulded bargeboards, timber framing in the gables, and casement windows with glazing bars. A matching brick rear wing extends from the main building. The property is notable for its group value and unspoiled Victorian character.
