Description
Mill Cottage is a cottage that was formerly two cottages, likely built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It features plastered cob on rubble footings, with cob or rubble stacks topped with 20th-century brick, and a thatched roof. Originally, it consisted of a pair of one-room cottages facing west, with mirror plans on either side of a central cross wall, central doors, and projecting end stacks. The building is two storeys high.
Currently, it has a two-window front with a door set to the left of centre, which is behind a 20th-century, half-hipped, thatch-roofed, open-sided porch. The ground floor has only one window to the left, while there are windows on each side on the first floor, all of which are 20th-century casements. There is a space in the centre where the second cottage door used to be, but it is now blocked. The roof is half-hipped at each end, and the interior features plain carpentry details.
